Preparing for kindergarten is an exciting time for children and parents alike. To help ease the transition, many schools in the Dubuque Community School District will host a Kindergarten Welcome Events/Open House to allow students and families get acquainted with their school and its staff in preparation for the 2016-17 school year.
At the event, attendees will meet the school’s kindergarten teachers, the school principal and other school staff. There will be an overview of the school as well as overview of the registration process.

Bryant Elementary School
April 12 at 3:15 p.m., 4:15 p.m. or 5:15 p.m.
Carver Elementary School

Eisenhower Elementary School
April 12 from 5:30-7 p.m. (last names A-L)
April 14 from 5:30-7 p.m. (last names M-Z)

In advance of the event, families can learn more about kindergarten in the Dubuque Community School District at www.dbqschools.org/kindergarten. The website includes a variety of kindergarten forms and resources as well as a tool to lookup a student’s home school based on street address.
