Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

ALL families with a student attending Audubon, Hoover, Lincoln, Marshall, Prescott, Jefferson, Washington or the Alta Vista Campus receive no-cost meals, regardless of income and no additional meal assistance form is needed.

Based on federal income eligibility guidelines, households may also qualify to have district FEES WAIVED OR REDUCED.

Families wishing to receive a FEE WAIVER must waive confidentiality of household income eligibility status by completing a fee waiver application.

  • NEW THIS YEAR: To make accessing the fee waiver application as easy as possible, it is now included in the district’s online registration process completed by each family.

NOTE:

  • Only ONE fee waiver application PER HOUSEHOLD is required. Fee waiver applications completed in online registration meet this requirement and cover all school-aged children in the household.
  • Depending on your meal assistance category, you may be asked to complete an income verification form to determine eligibility.
  • If your household has completed a Free and Reduced-Price Meals Application including the fee waiver application, no additional forms are required.

Students attending a school not in the Community Eligibility Provision who are not directly certified should complete the free and reduced-price meals application.

Eight schools in the Dubuque Community School District (Audubon, Hoover, Lincoln, Marshall, Prescott, Jefferson, Washington and the Alta Vista Campus) participate in the Community Eligibility Provision, a provision of the federal lunch program that provides no-cost reimbursable meals to all students at participating schools.

This offering provides federal fundingĀ for the district to expand access to healthy school lunches and ensure that students receive nutritious meals.
