Summer Academy
The Dubuque Community School District will offer a Summer Academy for ALL STUDENTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN FIRST GRADE during 2023-2024 school year.
The Summer Academy is a FREE learning experience designed to give students a reading-focused enrichment program.
THE PROGRAM
Reading instruction is delivered Monday through Friday mornings by certified district teachers. In addition to fun and engaging reading instruction, an optional enrichment opportunity will be offered in the afternoons to keep kids involved in learning — all because we believe that students immersed in learning are positioned to be better readers.

Monday, July 8, through Friday, August 2, 2024

8:10 a.m.-12:05 p.m.
Literacy instruction (includes FREE breakfast and lunch!)
12:05 p.m.
Pick-up for morning-only students
12:05- 3 p.m.
Afternoon enrichment activities

Summer Academy concludes
THE LOCATIONS
Students will attend one of three Summer Academy locations, based on the school they currently attend. All Summer Academy classrooms will be air conditioned!
Audubon Elementary School
for students who attend Audubon, Eisenhower, Marshall, or Sageville Elementary School
Prescott Elementary School
for students who attend Carver, Kennedy or Prescott Elementary School
Table Mound Elementary School
for students who attend Bryant, Hoover, Irving, Lincoln or Table Mound Elementary School
THE FOOD
FREE breakfast and lunch will be provided to all Summer Academy attendees!
THE SCHOOL BUS
FREE transportation on the district’s yellow school buses will be available at express stops throughout the community.
