After submitting the form, you’ll receive next steps in the enrollment process and ensure that you receive future communication including information about the district-wide Kindergarten Welcome Event held in the spring!
If your student(s) currently attends a FREE four-year-old preschool program at a district elementary school or participating community preschool and you plan to enroll in another school/district, please complete the form so we know where to send your student’s records.

If your student currently attends a FREE four-your-old preschool program at a district elementary school or participating community preschool, you do not need to complete an enrollment application. Watch your email for information on how to confirm your student’s enrollment in kindergarten for next year.

Remember that by Iowa Law, students enrolling in kindergarten MUST be five years old on or before September 15 of the school year they wish to enroll.
For the 2025-2026 school year, students must be age 5 on or before September 15, 2025.
Families wishing to have a student attend kindergarten at a school other than their home school may apply for in-district transfer between January 15 and March 1. For more information or to apply on or after January 15, visit www.dbqschools.org/in-district-transfer.
