Xello

Xello (wordmark logo)Xello is an engaging, online program that helps students define their future goals and transform their aspirations into actionable plans for success. The program puts students at the center of their college and career planning experience. It helps them build self-knowledge, explore their options, create a plan, and develop the 21st-century skills needed to thrive in the world of work.

Aligned with the district’s VERTEX Initiative, focused on career and college readiness, Xello supports students as they uncover their passions and see the possibilities in front of them.

More About Xello

How is Xello used by students?

Assessments

Xello’s assessments connect who students are to future options:

  • Matchmaker (Interests): 39‑question interest assessment that generates initial career matches.
  • Personality Style: 28‑question follow‑up based on the Holland model that refines matches.
  • Learning Styles: 20‑question check to understand how students learn best, paired with a lesson.
  • Skills Lab: Students rate how often they want to use 35 skills in future work to improve fit.
  • Work Values: Lesson activities that help students identify valued work characteristics.

Exploration + Planning

Students explore readable career profiles with day‑to‑day tasks, workplace conditions, earnings, demand, related majors, and programs. Dynamic filters help students sort by salary, demand, and clusters, and research learning pathways.

Portfolios

Students create and share digital portfolios that showcase coursework, artifacts, reflections, and experiences for classes, scholarships, or applications. Educators can view progress and track completion.
