What you can expect from the district:

  • provide a no-cost digital thermometer to families to support daily temperature screening
  • promote staying home if experiencing symptoms of sickness, including fever of 100.4F or more
  • promote staying home AND contacting a healthcare provider if experiencing any high risk COVID-19 symptom OR two or more low risk COVID-19 symptoms
  • promote staying home if tested for or exposed to COVID-19
  • school health offices provide a space for students experiencing symptoms that is separate from the space used to serve general health and medical needs of students
  • reinforce health messages via daily announcements, online, video, signs, printed materials, etc. (see TRACK YOUR TEMPERATURE and EXAMINE YOUR HEALTH resources)
  • continue to monitor latest guidance and best practices

What we ask of our students and staff:

  • conduct a daily temperature screening before coming to school each day (see TRACK YOUR TEMPERATURE resources)
  • screen for symptoms of sickness and COVID-19 (see EXAMINE YOUR HEALTH resources)
  • stay home if experiencing symptoms of sickness, fever of 100.4F or more
