The first day of open practice for Junior Mustangs will begin on September 4th from 7-8:15 PM in Moody Gym. The boys will go through a skills session and then finish the practice with some scrimmage time to work on their fundamentals. Practice days are 09/04, 09/11, 09/18, 09/25.

The multiple events during this month are aimed at "Creating a Culture of Peace". This year's keynote speaker will highlight the environmental justice movement which asks us to view the world as interconnected and calls us to create the unjust distribution of environmental hazards.

Kids Take the Stage offers creative dramatics and theater classes for kids of all skills levels. A variety of classes are offered with one or more classes available to each grade level from Kindergarten thru 8th. Classes meet once a week for six weeks. Financial assistance is available.

Design an outfit for a mini skeleton to display at our fashion show! Join us in-person Oct.3rd at 4pm or register to take home a kit with all the supplies you’ll need to decorate a skeleton. Completed skeletons will be displayed at the library from Oct. 15th - 31st.

Kids Expo, a premier FREE family fun and resource fair. Event will feature family crafts, games, and stage entertainment. Activities will include balloon artists, musical performances, dance demonstrations, and make-and-takes.

Dubuque Chess club will offer a lesson on chess openings at 6pm, and then we will play chess as usual, until 9pm. New players are welcome. The club meets every Monday, 6-9pm.

Come learn to sew on a sewing machine! You will create projects perfect for beginners; No previous sewing experience necessary. Registration is required.

Calling all LEGO® fans! Come to the library to build, create, and have fun. The library provides the LEGOs®, and you provide the know-how! Donations of LEGOs® are appreciated. LEGO® creations will be exhibited in the library. The program will be held in the Aigler Auditorium on the 3rd floor.

Grab your family and head on down to try your luck at Book Bingo! We have great hardcover and paperback books for prizes. Registration is not required.

This homework program is designed to provide a space for teens to get needed help on homework and build their studying and organizational skills for free.

All of our teen programming is free. We offer homework help to grades 6-12 on Mondays-Thursdays. High school hangout is on Tues and Thurs, high school teen nights are on Thursdays with dinner provided. Middleschool hangout is on Mon and Wed, middle school teen nights are on Wednesdays with dinner
