Three weeks of courses are offered to students in grades 1-7 in a variey of areas: science, math, technology, engineering, aviation, nursing, visual/performing arts, and culinary arts.

Dubuque County ISU Extension is excited to host the 2nd annual Bacon Buddies show at the 2025 Dubuque County Fair. This event gives 4th-12th grade individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities the chance to show a pig alongside youth mentors.

This homework program is designed to provide a space for teens to get needed help on homework and build their studying and organizational skills for free.

All of our teen programming is free. We offer homework help to grades 6-12 on Mondays-Thursdays. High school hangout is on Tues and Thurs, high school teen nights are on Thursdays with dinner provided. Middleschool hangout is on Mon and Wed, middle school teen nights are on Wednesdays with dinner

If you are looking for a camp in June to have fun, compete, and get better at basketball skills, then sign up for Hempstead Girls Basketball Youth Summer Skills Camp This will be run by the coaching staff for girls basketball for Hempstead.

The program runs four weeks, and includes a weekly sectional rehearsal(10:25 - 11 AM) and three weekly concert band rehearsals (11AM - 12:15 PM. The season culminates on June 27 with a 7 PM concert at Alliant Energy Amphitheater in Dubuque.

These camps will focus on strength, power, mobility, flexibility, agility, and speed. From a beginner to an advanced athlete and can give them the competitive edge and readiness they need for the upcoming season.

Speed and Strength is introductory camp for anyone grades 6-8 looking to develop the total athlete. Participants will train linear and lateral speed, agility/change of direction as well as a variety of strength training. Camp will run Tuesday's & Thursday's 11-12!

Clinics will be held June 2nd & June 9th. These clinics are designed to provide instruction on all fundamentals of volleyball. Each week we will work on mastering the proper fundamentals for all positions and skills through a mix of drills and games.

Join the UD Cheerleaders to learn the foundations of cheer over the 3 week camp on Mondays and Thursdays. Expect to learn a cheer, dance, and stunts that will be showcased to friends/family on the last day of camp. Includes bow/t-shirt.

Athletes ages grade 4 through grade 12 can come and try diving. We will be going through front and back approaches, new dives, and proper water entry. Please bring a swim suit, towel and water bottle.

The goal of the league is to introduce future bowlers to the Mustang bowling program. Students will bowl 2-3 games and take part in drills aimed at improving their scores. Coaches Cheever and Muilenburg will run the league with assistance from current Hempstead bowlers.
