Curriculum Materials

The Dubuque Community School District is committed to supporting outstanding education delivery through the use of high-quality instructional materials.

Selection of instructional materials in the district is governed by Policy #6226: Instructional Materials Selection, Review and Reconsideration.

In language arts and mathematics, the following high-quality instructional materials are used by the district:

• Preschool: Read It Again (language arts) and Building Blocks (mathematics)
• Grades K-5: HMH Into Reading (language arts) and Bridges (mathematics). Note that mathematics is currently undergoing a curriculum study to explore new math curriculum.
• Grades 6-8: EL Education Language Arts (language arts) and Illustrative Math (mathematics)
• Grades 9-12: My Perspectives English/Language Arts (language arts) and Illustrative Math (mathematics)
