Free and Reduced-Price Meals
Dubuque Community School District students may be eligible to receive free or reduced-price meals (breakfast and lunch) in accordance with guidelines set forth by the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
NOTE: If a member of your household receives federal benefits, food assistance (also known as SNAP), FIP/TANF, receives a DHS letter, is homeless or is a foster child, you DO NOT need to complete the Free and Reduced-Price Meals Application. To have your fees waived, contact your school office or the district food and nutrition office to receive a Fee Waiver Benefits Form.
To be considered for eligibility, families must complete a Free and Reduced-Price Meals application.
Printed copies of the application, and the Fee Waiver Benefits form, are also available at any school.

A new application must be completed each and every school year unless you receive Direct Certification from DHS.
All applications must be completed in full to be considered for eligibility.
Students attending Alta Vista Campus, Audubon, Fulton, Hoover, Jefferson, Lincoln, Marshall, Prescott or Washington DO NOT need to complete a Free and Reduced-price Meals Application. These schools participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Learn more about CEP.
