Free and Reduced-Price Meals
During the 2021-2022 school year, ALL STUDENTS in the Dubuque Community School District will again receive NO-COST meals at school!
No-cost meals are provided thanks to an extension of the USDA Seamless Summer Option that school districts are able to participate in through the school year. NOTE: This program DOES NOT cover milk-only purchases at all levels, or the purchase of additional meals and a la carte items at the middle- and high-school levels.
MEAL PROGRAM FORMS STILL NEED TO BE COMPLETED!
Even with no-cost meals being provided to students, it is important that families still complete the appropriate meal program application. These forms are used to determine eligibility for the P-EBT (Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer) program, fee waiver benefits and helps the district receive certain federal funding.
NOTE: If a member of your household receives federal benefits, food assistance (also known as SNAP), FIP/TANF, receives a DHS letter, is homeless or is a foster child, you DO NOT need to complete the Free and Reduced-Price Meals Application. To have your fees waived, contact your school office or the district food and nutrition office to receive a Fee Waiver Benefits Form.
Families wishing to determine P-EBT eligibility or to apply for a fee waiver must complete this form if they have a student attending Bryant, Carver, Eisenhower, Hempstead, Irving, Kennedy, Roosevelt, Sageville, Senior or Table Mound.
Printed copies of the application, and the Fee Waiver Benefits form, are also available at any school.
