Music Matters!
Research continues to show many positive benefits from music on students of all ages. Participation in a band, orchestra or choir program offers opportunities for your student to develop self-confidence, self-discipline, responsibility, music reading skills, higher-order thinking skills, eye-hand coordination, hands-on appreciation of music, precision, teamwork, problem solving, perseverance, organizational skills, a higher level of focus, and more! Plus, ITβS FUN!
We look forward to helping your child grow as a student and a musician. Thank you for considering the Dubuque Community School District Music Program and the lifelong benefits of music for your student!
